DRESS CODE
Students are required to wear proper college uniform while attending any official affairs of the college, including academic and administrative events. The college uniform is mandatory from Monday to Friday, and students must wear college track – suits on Wednesdays and Fridays. Failure to wear the college uniform may result in disciplinary action. The college uniform includes the following:

Pants: Dark grey

Socks:Blue
Shoes:Black

ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE
As per the order of Supreme Court of India and subsequent notification from University Grants Commission (UGC), ragging
constitutes one or more of any intention by any student or group of students on:
i) Any act of indiscipline, teasing or handling with rudeness. ii) Any act that prevents, disrupts the regular academic activity.
iii) Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure.
iv) Any activity which is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, psychological harm or creates fear or apprehension. v) Any act of abuse by spoken words, emails, Whatsapp, SMS or public insult etc.
vi) Any act of injury or infringement of the fundamental right to the human dignity.
vii) Any act of physical abuse causing assault, harm or danger to Health.
viii) Any Act of wrongful confinement, kidnapping, molesting or committing unnatural offences, use of criminal forces, trespass or intimidation.
ix) Any unlawful assembly or conspiracy to ragging.
UNIVERSITY EXAM REGULATIONS
1. Eligibility for examination:
To be eligible for a particular paper’s examination, a student must have applied for permission, attended at least 75% of classes, and appeared in all internal sessional exams. The Principal may condone a shortage of attendance by 5% if recommended by the concerned HoD/IC and on satisfying themselves about the genuineness of the case.
2. Detention:
A student ordinarily will not be detained in any semester for attending less than 75% of the classes held or failing in the end semester examination. However, the student must clear all papers within the stipulated number of semesters fixed by the University. Otherwise, the student will be declared ‘failed’ and has to restart from the first semester to continue their studies.
3. Evaluation:
The evaluation will be done in the proportion of 50:50 for internal and external assessments. The first two sessional tests will be of 25 marks each, and the end semester examination will have a total score of 50 marks.
4. Repeating a paper:
Students must seek permission from the Controller of Examination (CoE), Sikkim University, through the Principal of the College at least one month before the examination’s date to repeat a paper or more. If permitted, they must pay the prescribed fees at least one week before the examination date.
5. End-semester examination:
The end-semester theory examination will be of two hours’ duration. The CoE will prepare the examination routine, and it will be notified at least one week before the actual date of the end-semester examination.
6. Attendance of the Students:
Students must attend a minimum of 75% of the class lectures. Students whose attendance falls below the mandatory 75% will not be allowed to appear for the End- Semester Examination in the relevant paper where his/her attendance is below 75%.
WITHDRAWAL AND TRANSFER PROCESS
To withdraw from the college in the middle of a session, students must submit a written application to the Principal and return all college-issued documents. After withdrawal, their names will be removed from the college academic rolls permanently. Students who withdraw in the middle of a session without COI/SS will forfeit their deposits and payments made to the
college. Students who wish to withdraw their admission from the 1st semester should do so after 30 days from the date of their admission. To obtain a Migration Certificate, students should apply through the Head of the Institution by submitting a prescribed form available at the Dean of Students’ Affairs office. For a Transfer Certificate, students must obtain prior permission from Sikkim University and submit a written application to the Principal at least three days in advance. Students without COI/SS must pay a transfer fee of Rs. 50/- to the college.
STUDENT’S SLIPWITH IDENTITYCARD
Each College student will receive a slip along with Identity Card that must be carried by them at all times. When requested by the College Administration, Management, Academia, or College Discipline Committee, students must present this card. Whenever a student is promoted to the next semester, they must renew the card by providing a recent, valid, and relevant admission fee slip.
UNIVERSITYREGISTRATION CARD
Sikkim University provides a University Registration card to all students who apply for University registration by submitting a filled-in form and completing other necessary formalities. Bona fide students of Sikkim University are issued a one-time registration certificate for their chosen program of study, which does not need to be renewed after every semester. In order to register with the University, students must fill out a prescribed form and submit it through their Principal.
